Off-Site Oil Storage
When large quantities of good quality oil must be removed from plant for periods of more than a few days, we are often able to store it in the tank farm at our Stanlow works. This service is only available for oil that still complies with BS148. The service includes collection in suitably clean tankers, full BS148 tests and report on arrival at Stanlow, storage in dedicated breather-controlled static tanks, pre-dispatch QC tests for water content and electrical properties, and delivery to the equipment at the original site or a new location.
This is a storage service only and does not include any treatment, thus the delivered oil will be no better than when it was removed. Indeed, with several stages of handling in between some deterioration is inevitable and the oil should, therefore be reconditioned via a Mobile Processing Unit on return.
