Mobile Regeneration Service
As the price of new unused transformer oil becomes ever higher, a process that returns the characteristics of in-service oil to the same standard as when it was put into the transformer will be of great benefit. The EOS Mobile Regeneration Service does even more than this. By processing the oil in-situ we are not only treating the oil, we are treating the core and windings of the transformer; reclaiming the oil absorbed in the winding insulation and removing any sludge deposits in cooling ducts or pipe-work. Unlike an oil change, this activity can be performed with the transformer energised.
The design of the EOS Mobile Regeneration Module (MRM) allows us to build a high capacity regeneration facility into a surprisingly small vehicle. This relatively small size combined with one of our existing self-contained Mobile Processing Units (MPUs) allows EOS to access sites not always accessible by larger units.
The range of characteristics that can be improved by in-situ regeneration includes acidity neutralisation, precipitable sludge, appearance, DDF/resistivity/relative permittivity, interfacial tension, in addition to water content, gas content and breakdown voltage.
The oil’s depleted natural (or additive) inhibitor will need to be replaced at the end of the regeneration process by the addition of a modern transformer oil inhibitor additive.
EOS has build up a strong reputation for excellence throughout the industry over many years, employing highly skilled and experienced operators. This experience is now transferred into this new EOS service.
Our experienced team of sales engineers can discuss your optimum solution, be it an oil change, regeneration or in-situ reconditioning.
