HoS Tanker Hire

It is quite common for oil, which is still serviceable, to have to be removed from plant for a relatively short period. For these occasions, when there may be insufficient justification for sending the oil off site for reclamation, we offer a service of "Hold on Site (HoS) Tanker Hire".

We can supply either our own dedicated HoS tankers or commercially clean general-purpose vehicles. The dedicated HoS tanks are specially designed for electrical oils and are similar to our dedicated delivery vehicles. Like the delivery vehicles, they are only used for the one purpose. These tanks are fitted with dehydrating breathers, which means they offer the best preservation of the oil possible, while it is out of its equipment. Commercially clean general purpose tankers will be operated by reputable hauliers and will have been cleaned and dried prior to HoS use.

It should, however, be pointed out that there are inherent risks in this type of operation, which may have implications for the progress of the project or the preservation of the oil. We therefore strongly recommend that the Tanker Hire Risk Assessment be read prior to undertaking such an operation. As a minimum we would encourage the return of stored oil to its equipment via a Mobile Processing Unit.
